How bad can 9 miles be?

I commute a short distance to work every day - approximately 9 miles. In that time, I appear to witness an inordinate amount of c***ish behaviour. This blog is my outlet. Let me know your own stories, in the comments section!

So, some of you might have noticed the lack of's on my page recently. This is not a reflection of improved driver habits, but an attempt by me to chill out a bit, and relax more. However, for one day only, its back. To the owner of vehicle VE56 EVT. Its dark, proper dark. To the general driving population, that means that you put your lights on, but not you. No, you're quite happy, sitting in the middle lane of the M56, pootling along - completely safe in the knowledge that nothing going on outside your car will affect you. So oblivious in fact, that despite pretty much every car driving up behind you and flashing - or pulling in in front of you and flashing hazards, fog lights, in fact anything - you seemed to have no interest whatsoever in what might be causing these people to take such an interest in you. I'd like to believe that a Darwin award was heading your way - I just seriously hope you don't take someone completely innocent out with you.

I've decided to rebrand. It now becomes #rdr - Remedial driver recruit. These people should not be hated - they genuinely need help. Today's #rdr needs some lane discipline education. I orbited her twice on the m56, and I don't think she even noticed.

Yesterday's Sportage owner seems to have heralded a new dawn of s . This morning's contenders - The mercedes E class that decided that he wasn't sure about getting on the motorway and decided to stop(!) on the slip road, before eventually leading the queue of cars behind him into motorway speed traffic at 35mph. And the mx-5 driver who decided that just as he came past an on-slip, with a number of cars attempting to pull out, was a great time to pull back in from the overtaking lane, without any attempt at signalling that intention. Grrrrr.

Kia sportage - for the less discerning. You wanted an X5, but you couldn't afford one, so you bought a Sportage, and drove like a **** anyway. Not for you this getting in lane in plenty of time, no - you must wait until the last possible moment, and then cut someone up.

so, its been a while, but my god were the s back in force this morning... Its a simple thing, but to the Mercedes taxi-wagon, the E-class and the BMW X-5.... they are "overtaking" lanes, not "pottering along at the same speed as the other guy, blocking up the f***ing road" lanes.
